This class will teach the basics of Illustrator, including how and when to use Illustrator. If you have ever wanted a better understanding of the program, or are looking to get started but don?t know where to start, this is for you.
 
Topics include:

  • Difference between pixel-based and vector-based design
  • Difference between RGB and CMYK (and other color modes)
  • Basic knowledge of the interface and where to find things
  • How to use the pen tool and Bezier curves
  • How to make patterns and brushes
  • Layers
  • Additional items, including the mesh tool, perspective grid tool, artboard tool and shapebuilder tool, depending on time
 
A question and answer period will be included for questions of how to do specific things.
