Sexual Harassment Prevention Training ENGLISH VERSION

  • SB 1343 requires that all employers with 5 employees or more conduct Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.

  • For non-supervisory employees the training must be at least an hour.

  • For supervisory employees the training must be at least two hours.

  • It must be conducted by a qualified trainer.

  • It must happen every two years and within six months of hire.

  • For seasonal and temporary employees, it must occur within 30 days or 100 hours (whichever is soonest).

  • If you completed training in 2018, the DFEH wants you to complete it again in 2019.

    Companies must also have a Harassment, Discrimination and Retaliation Prevention Policy in place as well, prior to the training date.
